Job Roles

Chloe is head of lighting and sound:

she is responsible for setting up lighting equipment so that the set is accurately lit for the time of day, atmosphere and general mise-en-scene. She must interpret ideas from camera, director and other departments such as costume in order to obtain the desired lighting effect. .

Skills required:

.I.T skills

.Good communication skills

. A good understanding of the different types of lighting equipment that may be required.

Tanya is head of Mise-en-scene:


This means she is in charge of
costume, make-up, set design and props. This means she must choose clothes that best represent the character whilst taking in to consideration the time period, class, and general social aspects of the character. When it comes to props Tanya must make sure that no prop is out of place and that they are important to the scene or character i.e. family photos on the fridge in the kitchen or text books in a students room.


Skills required:


.Organisation

.The ability to stay calm and collected if something goes wrong

.Good communication skills

.An eye for continuity

.Attention to detail.

Callum is in charge of camera:


This means he will have to work with delicate equipment. He will also be responsible for the creation of the images on screen. He will have to work with lighting to make sure that the shot will have the correct effect and style.


Skills required:

. Steady hand

.Good communication skills

.A good understanding of camera movements and effects.
